Welcome to Richard Ward's DOOM Windows 9x Theme.

This Theme will work with Windows 95, 98 and 98Lite.

To install 
1: UnZIP this file into a temp directory with WinZIP* on your C:\ drive
   (*or some other unzipper that creates subdirectories and understands
    Win9x long filenames)
2: Run the INSTALL.BAT file in the directory you just unzipped into)
3: Run the Windows THEMES.EXE program and select the DOOM theme.

This collection consists of:
  *  5 Animated Cursors
  * 13 Static Cursors
  * 44 Icons (yes, the Spectre icon is a joke (invisible monster
       gets an invisible icon))
  * 18 System Sounds
  * Background BMP file
  * Startup and Shutdown Screens

NOTE:
This THEME will replace the following three files on your system:
C:\LOGO.SYS          (the STARTING WINDOWS9x splash pic)
C:\WINDOWS\LOGOS.SYS (the IT IS NOW SAFE TO SHUTDOWN YOUR SYSTEM pic)
C:\WINDOWS\LOGOW.SYS (the PLEASE WAIT WHILE WINDOWS PASSES A KIDNEY STONE pic)

Selecting a different THEME from Windows will NOT turn off these startup/
shutdown screens.
